The design and implementation of the integrated authorization system for generating distributed database in switching systems

چکیده

In this paper we describe the design and implementation of the integrated authorization system for building distributed database for the real-time DBMS in the switching systems. This system has been developed on purpose of making the reliable distributed database for the switching systems. The architecture, the operational functions, and the various features of the integrated database authorization system, which is called IDAS, are presented in this paper. IDAS with graphic user interface guides the database administrator who has an authorization of generating, extracting, and verifying database in the switching systems to make the correct and reliable database. The generated databases are distributed with several main processors in the switching systems. Finally, IDAS can contribute to improving the reliability of the switching systems. 1 INTRODUCTION he switching system is a real-time system in which the real-time OS controls the time-dependant applications in priority-based scheduling and the real-time DBMS manages the switching control data shared by the applications. The switching system is also the embedded system that has the microprocessors to control subscriber's call effectively. In general, developing environment for the embedded systems is separated from the running environment for them. In the point of the switching software programmers, switching system is considered the target system on which the applications are always running. On the other hand, they regard the system that provides the developing environment for them as the off-line system. Under the environment of the target system and the off-line system, switching software are run on the target system after they were implemented and compiled at the off-line system. Databases also are loaded into the target systems after being made at the off-line system. It is caused by differentiating developing environment from running environment in the embedded systems. In case of HANbit ACE[1], one of the ATM switching systems, the whole database generation processes are performed at the off-line system. To build the database at the off-line system, first of all, the application[2] programmers define the relation schemata according to the purpose of their applications. And they register relation schemata and their initial data to the DBA (database administrator). Then the DBA generates the databases by using the related tools[3-4]. Finally, the generated databases are loaded into the main processors on the target systems.
